Inlet’s Woods and Waters Outdoor Expo will share information about outdoor recreational opportunities and products on Saturday and Sunday June 4th and 5th 2011. The event will be hosted by the Inlet Area Business Association (IABA) on the Arrowhead Park Lakefront.
The free public event is expected to be a multi-themed outdoor recreational event hosting booths containing products for power sports, paddling, mountain biking, hiking, camping, and fishing. Not for profit Organizations from the many fitness events, environmental organizations, and tourism councils throughout the Adirondack Park are expected to attend.
Information will be provided for environmentally friendly access to the Wild Forest and easement properties in the park. The theme of the event is a “Forest Preserve For All To Enjoy”.
According to the IABA, the main goal of the event is to introduce all levels of eco-tourists to the recreation opportunities in the West Central Adirondacks. It’s believed to be the first event of its type to celebrate all forms of eco-tourism with lectures and demonstrations by guides, leading educators, writers and sports recreational merchants. The two day event is expected to include on and off-water demonstrations and lectures on subjects from birding, geocaching, sailing, snowmobiling, paddle making, photography, camp cooking, kayaking, hiking safety, hunting, fishing, skiing, boating, float plane services, and more.
