Adirondack Stand-Up Paddling Festival This Weekend

SUPIf you’ve been wondering what the stand-up paddling (SUP) craze is all about, check out the Adirondack SUP Festival at Lake Colby Beach in Saranac Lake this weekend.

Sponsored by Adirondack Lakes and Trails, the annual festival will feature instructional clinics, competitive and family-fun races, SUP fitness and yoga classes, guided paddling trips, and dealer booths. Visitors will be able to demo equipment, and there will be special discounts on boards, paddles, and accessories.

The festival kicks off this afternoon with clinics for kids and adults and concludes Sunday with a guided tour of Lower Saranac Lake. Click here for a complete schedule of activities.

All proceeds from demo fees will be donated to the Adirondack Park Invasive Species Program.

Industry sponsors include Hobie, Werner Paddles, Amundson Design, and Boardworks SUP. The food vendors are Scape Deli & Catering and Woody’s Famous Brats & Hots.
