Warrensburg Graveyard Walks, Dinner Planned

Cemetary GuideTwo Graveyard Walks are planned for Warrensburg Cemetery. Characters expected to put in appearances this year represent people from Warrensburg’s earliest  history, including the woman who hosted the first Town Board meeting and others.

The Graveyard Walks and Dinner have been sponsored by the Warrensburgh Historical Society since 2001, with sold-out audiences every year.  The public is encouraged to make their reservations early, as space is limited.

The first will be held On Friday, October 18th  followed by a Gourmet Dessert Buffet at the Cornerstone Victorian B & B, 3921 Main Street, and in keeping with the 1813 Town Bicentennial theme, the price of this event is $13.00. The second walk will be on Friday, October 25, and includes homemade desserts at the Senior Center.  The price for that event is $8.00 per person.  Both walks begin at 7:00 pm sharp.

On Sunday, October 27th a full course “Dinner with the Dead” will be served at Lizzie Keays Restaurant , 89 River Street.  The price including tax and tip is $35.00.  Dinner choices are 16 oz. Prime Rib, Seafood Sampler or Grilled Chicken Parmesan. Space is limited.  For tickets, contact Sandi Parisi at 518-623-2207.  Cash or Checks payable to Warrensburgh Historical Society must be received by Wednesday, October 23rd.
