Call for Submissions For Adirondack Literary Awards

unnamed(4)The Adirondack Center for Writing Literary Awards are a way to honor the writers and publishers who live and work (even part time) in the North Country. Submissions don’t have to be Adirondack-themed, though they can be. If you live here and published this past year, send two copies for submission.

The organizers are looking for submissions of fiction, non-fiction, children’s literature, memoir, edited collections and poetry. ACW  judges will choose a winner from each category, and popular vote decides a People’s Choice Award at the ceremony in June at the Blue Mountain Center, which donates space and resources for the event.

Submissions should include two copies of the book to Nathalie Thill at the ACW Office (PO Box 956, Saranac Lake, NY 12983). The deadline is March 7th, 2014.

Submission should include a brief cover letter with contact info (including email address and snail mail address) and the genre in which you wish the book to be placed (fiction, nonfiction, poetry, children’s literature, memoir, edited collection, or photography). There is no entry fee. Do not include a SASE; books cannot be returned but will become part of reading rooms or libraries.

Please note this is for published BOOKS, articles and single short stories are not eligible.
