Supposedly the decision by the state re the Rails to Trails debate is in the near future; for those who care about this issue they mind find the Times Union editorial linked here interesting. Whether or not a newspaper editorial carries much ‘weight’, the Albany region probably has a higher concentration of people who care about the Adirondacks than any other single area of the state outside the Adks. themselves and it would seem fair to suggest that this was directed towards them and to the people in the state government who are going to decide the issue.
