Free Fundraising Workshops In Saranac Lake

businessThe Adirondack Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) is hosting a series of five free workshops on the topic of fundraising for nonprofit organizations.

“This workshop series is helping to meet a critical community need,” AEDC director Jim Murphy said in an announcement of the workshops sent to the press, “and it is expressly in line with our mission to provide access to capital, training and technical assistance to North Country small businesses. We are very pleased to partner with Martha Spear Fundraising Counsel on this project to benefit our community’s many nonprofit organizations.”

Each workshop will be held from 8 to 9:30 am at the AEDC offices at 67 Main Street, Suite #300 in Saranac Lake.

The schedule is as follows:

Tuesday, September 29—“Five Fundamentals of Fundraising for Nonprofits”

Tuesday, October 27—“Finding Foundation Funders”

Tuesday, November 17—“What Donors Want and Need”

Tuesday, December 15—“Trends in Philanthropy”

Tuesday, January 19—“Key Responsibilities of Nonprofit Boards”
