Adirondack Woofstock: A Weekend of Peace, Paws & Music

woofstockPlanning has begun for this year’s Adirondack Woof Stock – A Weekend of Peace, Paws & Music, being held June 18-19, 2016 in Chestertown. Last year about 3,000 people attended with an estimated 1,000 dogs over the two day event.

Organizers are reporting that there is room for more vendors, pet groomers, fence companies, a pet photograper, dog trainers, and other pet friendly vendors interested in attending. Vendor space is $50 for the weekend.

Hudson Valley Dock Dogs, Beantown Disc Dogs and Doggie Fun Zone are expected to again this year with dock diving, frisbee competitions, agility tests and lure chasing, as well as pet adoptions from Adirondack Save A Stray and the North Shore Animal League.  Police canine demonstrations, a “Blessing of the Animals” and a dog talent show are all planned, along with the vendors, food, and of course music all day, both days.

On Saturday night Woof Stock Revisited is planned on the Mill Pond in Brant Lake with live music, a light show, more vendors, food, and glow in the dark beach balls and flying discs in the pond, plus the Burn Your Bra for Charity Bonfire.
