On Saturday and Sunday, October 1-2, Whiteface Mountain will celebrate its 25th Oktoberfest with adult Oktoberfest games, tall mugs of beer, food, specialty vendors, an adventure zone, and live music. Plus, fireworks Saturday, at 7:30 pm, at the KOA Campgrounds in Wilmington.
Returning favorites include die Schlauberger, Spitze, Alpenland Taenzer, Schachtelgbirger and the 3 Alphorns. Guests can also look forward to Herbie and his Accord-A-Tones playing inside the Cloudspin Bar & Grill.
Special two-day Oktoberfest tickets are available online only and to persons 21 and over, this $35 ticket gets you two days of festival admission, a ride on the Cloudsplitter Gondola, a commemorative one-liter stein and your first fill of Spaten beer.
Single day festival and gondola tickets, for both Saturday and Sunday, are also available online for just $20. Admission to the festival, without the gondola, is $16 for adults, $10 for seniors and free for youth 12 and under.
Saturday’s Schedule
• 12-5 pm – Cloudsplitter Gondola Rides, authentic German food, beer & music, Adventure Zone activities, crafts and more.
• 5-7 pm – The SPATEN Games: challenge your friends to some traditional and other non-traditional beer drinking games and win prizes.
• 7 pm – Fireworks Show sponsored by KOA Holiday (ALL Oktoberfest ticket holders, including those with single day tickets, may enter the festival on Saturday night to enjoy the fireworks show for the 25th Anniversary)
Sunday, Oct. 2
• 10 am – 5 pm – Cloudsplitter Gondola Rides, authentic German food, beer and music, Adventure Zone activities, crafts and more.
