Championships Start Summer Skating Season

Lake Placid Figure Skating Championships Pairs As many as 500 figure skaters of all levels are set to take to the Olympic Center ice to compete in the annual Lake Placid Figure Skating Championships. The competitions in men and ladies singles and pairs begin Thursday, June 28, in both the 1932 Rink and Herb Brooks Arena and continue through Sunday, July 1.

Tickets for the 61st Lake Placid Figure Skating Championships are available at the Olympic Center box office and at the doors of both the 1932 Rink and Herb Brooks Arena. Single day tickets are $12/adults and $7/juniors & seniors. All event tickets are available for $30/adults and $18/juniors & seniors.

Schedule:

Thursday, June 28, 8 am to 11 pm

Friday, June 29, 8:30 am to 10:30 pm

Saturday, June 30, 8:30 am to 8:30 pm

Sunday, July 1, 8 to 10:30 am

The skaters represent 15 states:

California
Connecticut
Florida
Illinois
Massachusetts
Maine
Michigan
New Hampshire
New Jersey
New York
Pennsylvania
Rhode Island
Utah
Vermont
Virginia

And nine countries:

Argentina
Canada
Iceland
Israel
Mexico
Kazakhstan
Switzerland
Romania
United States
