Adirondack Performances of Seussical: The Musical

Benjamin Hergenroeder as the Cat in the Hat and Michael Hudlin as Horton the Elephant The Adirondack Lakes Center for the­ Arts’ 2018 Summer Theatre Festival concludes with touring performances of Seussical: The Musical.

Performances run August 2 through 6, and venues include Indian Lake Theater, Newcomb School, Lake Placid Junior Senior High School, Tannery Pond Center, and the View.

The cast features Benjamin Hergenroeder as Cat in the Hat, LeAnn Yelton as Sour Kangaroo, Michael Hudlin as Horton the Elephant, Catherine Purcell as Gertrude McFuzz, Annachristi Cordes as Mayzie La Bird, and Gage Morris as Jojo, with an extended cast of actors from across the region, including Sarah Lewin, Ruby Lewin, Kendall Davison, Noah Cordes, Maurice Fortune, Emileigh Smith, Raegan Fritts, Mary Leach, and George Cordes.

George Cordes is stage director for this production, with music director Mary Leach and piano accompaniment: by Elizabeth Cordes, choreographer Kendall Davison, and costumes and props by Annachristi Cordes.

The performance schedule is as follows:

August 2, 7 pm, Indian Lake Theater, Indian Lake
August 3, 7 pm, Newcomb Central School, Newcomb
August 4, 7 pm, Lake Placid Middle/High School Auditorium, Lake Placid
August 5, 3 pm, Tannery Pond Community Center, North Creek
August 6, 7 pm, View, Old Forge

Tickets for the first four performances are $15 for Arts Center members, $20 for non-members, and $10 for students and youth 17 and under. Tickets at the View are $15 for adults, $8 for children, and free if under 5 with purchase of adult ticket.
