View, a multi-media arts center located in Old Forge, has announced the opening reception for the Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolors on Friday August 3rd, 2018, from 5 to 7 pm.
A free public reception will feature hors d’oeuvres, cash bar, and the opportunity to meet with several of the exhibiting artists.
Each year, View holds the Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolors, which is open to all artists working in water-based media. This includes transparent and opaque watercolors, acrylics, casein, egg tempera, gouache and ink. Recognized across the United States and Canada, this year’s exhibition features 90 artworks selected from hundreds of submissions. Two nationally recognized artists juried the annual exhibition: Daniel K. Tennant was the juror of selection and Douglas Wiltraut, AWS, NSPC&A was the juror of awards.
