NorthCountryARTS has announced a pair of one-day self-guided artist studio tours on consecutive weekends. The first, highlighting artists in Glens Falls, will be held on Saturday, August 4 from 10 am to 5 pm.
The second tour will be Saturday, August 11, from 10 am to 5 pm highlighting artists in the Lake George and North Warren region of Warren County.
On August 4, thirteen artists with studios in Glens Falls will open their doors to highlight their work ranging from painting and fabric art to pottery and jewelry. Most of the artists are located in the Shirt Factory in Glens Falls and include: Anne Dickenson (mixed media), Adelade Walsh Leibold (abstract painting), Bev Saunders (pastels), Betty O’Brien (watercolors), Dave Francis (pastels), Dolores Thomson (pottery), Jackie Touba (jewelry), Jessica Rogers-Joining (photography), Joan Reid (painting), JoAnn Johnson (mixed media), Larry Gonyea (glass etching), Mike Huskie (painting), Susan Rivers (fabrics) and Trudi Smith (painting).
On August 11, twelve additional artists will display their work at nine locations throughout the region north of Glens Falls including 4 in Lake George, 3 in Diamond Point, 2 in Brant Lake and 3 in Chestertown. Again, the artists will display their work ranging from painting and pottery to jewelry, fabric art and print making. Artists in the North Warren area include: Betsy Krebs (painting), Charlene Leary (fabrics), Fred Holman (painting), Helga Grobel (jewelry), Janelle Beaulieu (pottery), Lyn-Rae Ashley (porcelain), Marjolaine Arsenault (fabrics), Nancy Austin (mixed media), Robert Walp (print making), Ruth Ward (mixed media) and Sandra Jabaut (painting).
