The Adirondack Park Agency (APA) will hold its monthly meeting at its headquarters in Ray Brook, NY on Thursday, August 9th, 2018.
The meeting will address Town of Caroga’s Approved Local Land Use Program’s zoning ordinance; expansion Lake George Riverview RV Park; State Land reclassifications involving the Gore Mountain Intensive Ski Area, and more. In the afternoon, the Board will tour Mt. Van Hoevenburg Olympic Sports Complex (the public is invited).
What follows is the agenda issued by the APA:
On Thursday at 9 am, the Full Agency will convene for Executive Director Terry Martino’s monthly report.
At 9:15 am, the Local Government Services Committee will deliberate the repeal and replacement of the Town of Caroga’s Approved Local Land Use Program’s zoning ordinance.
At 9:45, the Regulatory Programs Committee will consider approval for the expansion of the Lake George Riverview RV Park. The business has requested to increase the number of camping sites from 94 to 167. A bathhouse, pavilion and game-room will also be constructed. The campground is located in the Town of Lake George, Warren County.
At 10:45, the State Land Committee will come to order to consider approval for State Land reclassifications involving the Gore Mountain Intensive Ski Area. The committee will then deliberate Adirondack Park State Land Master Plan conformance for proposed amendments to the Gore Mountain Intensive Ski Area Unit Management Plan and the Mount Van Hoevenburg Unit Management Plan.
At 11:45, the Full Agency will convene to take any necessary actions and hear member and Local Government Review Board comment.
At 1:30, pm, the Agency, with assistance from the Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA), will tour Mt. Van Hoevenburg Olympic Sports Complex. The Sports Complex is located off State Route 73 at 220 Bobsled Run Lane, Lake Placid. The tour will include a stop at the Olympic Ski Jump Complex located on State Route 73 in Lake Placid.
The tour is open to the public.
Directions: Starting at the Ray Brook Office Complex, turn left onto Rt. 86. In approximately 3 miles bear right onto Old Military Rd. In 3.6 miles, keep straight onto Rt. 73/ Cascade Rd. In 4.7 miles, turn right onto Bobsled Run Ln.
Be prepared for outdoor walking and weather.
