Featured Hike: Cathedral Pines Trail, Eighth Lake

Cathedral Pines LoopCathedral Pines Trail, located in the Moose River Plains is a 0.1-mile loop on the north side of State Route 28 through a stand of large old growth white pines.

There is a monument dedicated to Malcolm Blue which was erected in 1946. Second Lt. Malcolm L. Blue served in the U.S. Army Air Forces – 491st Bomber Group during WWII.

Cathedral Pines Trailhead is located along State Route 28 (43.7558°N, 74.7138°W)

Featured hikes are recommended by DEC.

    Its not really a hike
    about 5 min or so
    There is no pking lot , just a sand shoulder, so be carefull when you pull in

      These trees are about a 30 second walk from where you park on the side of Rt. 28 to them. Nice trees…just a few of them.
