Gore Mountain has multiple construction projects underway, including an overhaul to its snowmaking system and an expansion and renovation to the Base Lodge’s Tannery Pub & Restaurant.
A new pump house is being constructed and new pipe installed for Gore to add 2,000 more gallons of water per minute to its pumping capacity for snowmaking. Gore managers expects this “necessary increase” to allow the mountain to open more trails earlier in the season and expand terrain faster. 312 new snow guns are being installed which can be controlled remotely and can respond to real-time weather changes.
A large two-level addition to the Base Lodge will double the size of the Tannery Pub & Restaurant, which is getting a complete renovation and expanded kitchen. The newly added Tannery space is expected to seat up to 350 people and offer year-round facilities for banquets, weddings, and conferences. The lower level addition will house a new headquarters for the popular Season-Long Mountain Adventure Program for children, and more seasonal lockers.
Two grooming machines are being added to the fleet for the upcoming season. Trail crews have recently removed a large irregularity on the Lower Cloud trail, making the on-snow approach into the mid-mountain Saddle area smoother and easier. The entry walkway to the Base Area has been repaved.

This is good, it seem like Gore usually just gets the crumbs from ORDA’s investments in WF.
Skied in March at WF it was better than the skiing I had out west a week later. They are doing a fantastic job at that mountain.
