Filmed live on Broadway in January of 2016 during the last weeks of its run, Allegiance tells the story of the Kimura family, whose lives are upended when they and 110,000 other Japanese-Americans are forced to leave their homes following the events of Pearl Harbor.

To date, Allegiance has had limited screenings, as a special Fathom Event in movie theaters in December of 2016 with encore showings in February and December of 2017.

The musical, which stars Lea Salonga, Telly Leung and George Takei, was inspired by Takei’s own childhood experiences as an internee during World War II.
