Folk Duo Smith And Berggren At BML Sept 29th

Alex Smith and Dan Berggren performingThe duo Alex Smith & Dan Berggren are set to perform Adirondack folk and roots music on Saturday, Sept. 29, at 7:30 pm at the Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts in Blue Mountain Lake.

Veteran folksinger Dan Berggren and emerging singer-songwriter Alex Smith’s similarities outnumber their 40-year age gap: both were raised in small Adirondack towns, studied at St. Lawrence University, keep a keen ear out for local stories, and write songs that reach far beyond the Blue Line.

Beer, wine, and other refreshments will be available. The Arts Center is located at 3446 State Route 28, Blue Mountain Lake. This concert is sponsored by the Jane Jacobs Music Fund.

Alex and Dan are featured in the PBS documentary on Adirondack music, Songs to Keep. For more on their music, click here.

Tickets are $15 for Arts Center members, $20 non-members, and $10 student and youth 17 and under and are available at the Arts Center’s website.
