The Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts is set to present the Seagle Music Colony’s fall revue “Hey, Big Spender” on Friday, October 5th, at 7:30 pm at the Arts Center.
The performance will include songs from Cy Coleman, like “Hey, Big Spender,” “Come Follow the Band,” and “If My Friends Could See Me Now.”
Coleman, the only composer to win back-to-back Tony Awards for “City of Angels” and “Will Rogers Follies,” is best known for his jazzy popular tunes for the show Sweet Charity. Coleman worked with many collaborators, from Dorothy Fields to Comden and Green with great success. Other musicals include On the “Twentieth Century,” “I Love My Wife,” “Seesaw,” “Barnum,” and many more.
Beer, wine, and other refreshments will be available. The Arts Center is located at 3446 State Route 28, Blue Mountain Lake. This event is sponsored by the Jane Jacobs Music Fund.
Tickets are $20 for Arts Center members, $25 for non-members, and $15 for students and youth 17 and under, and they are available at the Arts Center’s website.
