The Whallonsburg Grange Hall Lyceum is set to present “Adirondack Landscapes Through the Lens” on Tuesday, October 9 at 7:30 pm.
Scientist and photographer Brendan Wiltse will lead attendees on a journey through the region, through photographs. This is the third lecture in the Fall series which is entitled “Landscapes, Real and Imagined.”
Photography is a powerful way to connect people to the natural world. Brendan Wiltse, contributor to Adirondack Life, Adirondack Explorer and Adirondack Almanack, will share stories and examples of how photography can be used as a tool to draw interest, awareness, and emotional connections to wild places and the organisms that live there. Wiltse will also discuss the challenges wild lands face as they are increasingly promoted online through social media.
Admission is $5, students are free.
The Grange is located at 1610 NYS Route 22 in Essex. For more information, click here.
