lake placid ski jumping Several of the United States’ top up-and-coming ski jumpers are set to return to the Olympic Jumping Complex in Lake Placid to vie for U.S. Cup titles and for a spot on the U.S. Junior World Championship Team on Friday and Saturday, December 28th and 29th.

Spectators can watch the high-flying action as ski jumpers launch themselves from the top of the 90-meter ski jump and soar the length of a football.

The U.S. Cup and Junior World Team trials begin both days with first round action at 10 am, followed by second round jumping at 10:45 am and the Nordic Combined race at 2 pm.

Following Saturday’s competition, athletes will participate in a one-night only ski jumping exhibition, presented by Paul Smith’s College, at 6 pm, followed by fireworks at 7 pm.

Two-day adult tickets are available at the Olympic Jumping Complex’s box office for just $26. Junior and senior two-day tickets are being sold for $16.

Single-day adult tickets are $16 and single-day junior and senior tickets are being sold for $10. Belleayre, Gore, Whiteface Mountain and Mt. Van Hoevenberg season pass holders and those who purchase the Olympic Sites Passport receive free admission. Children six and under also receive free admission.
