North Country Community College has asked the public to complete a survey about its use of the pool in the college’s Sparks Athletic Complex in Saranac Lake.
The online survey, asks respondents how they’ve used the pool in the past, what programs and services they’d like to see offered at the pool, and their ability to support the pool.
The college announced in December that it is weighing the pros and cons of closing the pool but would seek the input of stakeholders, including the college community and the community-at-large, before making a decision.
Since then, the college has received numerous emails, letters and at least one petition in support of keeping the pool open. In addition to their comments, many people have offered suggestions and support to the college as it considers the future of the pool.
The survey will be available online until Friday, Feb. 1. Its results will be reported to the community. Hard copies of the survey are also be available at the front desk of Hodson Hall or by contacting Chris Knight, NCCC Communications Director, at (518) 891-2915 x1267 or cknight@nccc.edu.
