The Saranac Lake Winter Carnival Committee has introduced a new event called Skate Lake Colby. The event will be held on Sunday, February 3 at the Lake Colby beach and Skate Path.

It will offer ice skating paths and a fat bike trail.

From noon to 5 pm the public is welcome to bring their own ice skates or try out other ice sports like kicksleds, Nordic skates and fat bikes, courtesy of Human Power Planet Earth (77 Main Street).

From 6 to 8 pm the public is welcome to bring their own ice skates, headlamps or flashlights to skate the path at night.
