AdkAction and Tupper Lake Central School District have announced that 50 eligible student films have been submitted to the first ever Beyond the Peaks Student Film Festival, representing seven school districts in the Adirondacks.
The red carpet showcase of student creativity and talent will take place at The Wild Center on May 10, 2019, from 5 to 8 pm.
Participating school districts included Tupper Lake, Newcomb, Westport, Beekmantown, Long Lake, Salmon River, and West Canada Valley.
Festival judges will be watching and scoring the films between now and April 23, 2019 using the web app Trackpad from Skills21.
Community members are welcome to register to attend the festival as well, free of charge. Registration is required and seats are limited – more than half of the 165 seats are already filled. For more information or to register, click here.
