4-H Digital Ambassadors who were trained by Microsoft sponsors in Washington D.C. in February are teaching adults aged 55 and older how to safely and effectively utilize technology.
Smart phones, android phones, lap tops, desk top computers, tablets, e-readers, or any other digital means of communication can be wonderful tools to connect with health professionals, face-to-face family chats, job opportunities, online education, and a host of other uses with a little help. Online safety when choosing a password, how to recognize scams, and any of a host of questions can be addressed in these one to two-hour trainings.
Training will be offered for any adult program, senior housing facility, library program, or other adult program or facility in Franklin county. To request a free training, contact the Cornell Cooperative Extension office, (518) 483-7403 or email pab21 @cornell.edu.
