Drum Corps Showcase Returns to Glens Falls

7th Regiment of New LondonThe Glens Falls Music Academy Drum Corps Showcase has been set for Monday, July 22, at 7 pm.

Having returned in 2018 after a five-year hiatus, Drum Corps International, ‘Marching Music’s Major League’, is back at East Field in Glens Falls.

The open corps lineup for 2019 currently includes the Raiders of Burlington, New Jersey; the 7th Regiment of New London, Connecticut; the Legends of Kalamazoo, Michigan; the Spartans of Nashua, New Hampshire; and Southwind of Mobile, Alabama. Additional teams may be added.

Drum Corps International (DCI) is the non-profit governing body for junior drum and bugle corps in the US and Canada. It is composed of member corps who have earned their membership through competition. A drum and bugle corps is a musical marching ensemble consisting of brass instruments, percussion instruments, synthesizers and color guard. DCI is a summer touring circuit. A typical show may include on-field adaptations of jazz, new age, classical, rock, and even original music.

General admission tickets range from $20 to $28. Tickets for ages 4 to 12 are $16, and ages 3 and under are free with adult ticket. Best price tickets are available for sale in person at the Cool Insuring Box Office at 1 Civic Center Plaza in Glens Falls or online. Ticket prices increase $5 the week before the event (July 15th)
