E-Waste Recycling Day at Silver Bay YMCA

Silver Bay Association Auditorium The Silver Bay YMCA Conference and Family Retreat Center is set to hold its 8th annual e-waste recycling event on Saturday, June 8th, 2019 at its location in Silver Bay, Lake George.

Members of the community are invited to drop off unwanted equipment such as microwaves, laptops, printers, and similar electric appliances for recycling between the hours of 10 am to noon, and 1 to 3 pm at the Silver Bay YMCA campus.

Several hundred pounds of electronics are expected to be dropped off at the event, which will be recycled and save landfills from the toxic effects of these materials to the environment. At last year’s event, over 1,000 pounds of unwanted materials were recycled with Silver Bay’s recycling partner, EWASTE+.

Most electrical items will be accepted for free, and select items such as CRT and LCD monitors carry a nominal fee for recycling. Individuals looking for more information on accepted equipment can call (518) 543-8400.
