The Museum Association of New York (MANY) will present the 2019 “Access and Identity: Leading for the Future” Museum Institute at Great Camp Sagamore on September 24-27, 2019.
The Museum Institute is a retreat for museum professionals in which participants learn in collaboration with presenters who use their own experiences, successes, and challenges in the field to inspire conversations. In between sessions, participants have time to explore the grounds of Camp Sagamore or sit by the fire in the evening.
The lead presenter will be Tonya Matthews, Ph.D., the new Director of Inclusion at the American Alliance of Museums. Other presenters include Museum Association of New York Executive Director Erika Sanger, New York Council on NonProfits VP or Regional Development Andrew Marietta, and Garet Livermore, Independent Museum professional with over 30 years experience in the museum field. More presenters are expected to be announced soon.
