The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (State Parks) has announced they are hiring more than 1,000 new and returning lifeguards for the summer season at its swimming beaches and pools.
New York State Park lifeguards must meet certain eligibility criteria, which includes successfully completing the qualifying procedure, before being hired. For a complete schedule of qualifying dates, more information about hiring requirements, and an application, click here.
The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation oversees more than 250 parks, historic sites, recreational trails, golf courses, boat launches and more, which are visited by 74 million people annually.
