AuSable Valley Grange Farmers’ Markets Schedules

Adirondack Farm Produce - Photo by Shannon HoulihanThe AuSable Valley Grange producer-only Farmers’ Markets feature fresh no-spray vegetables and herbs; farmstead goat cheese; fresh apples and pears; artisanal cheese and fresh yogurt from grass-fed cows; free-range chicken and egg; grass-fed beef and pork; fresh-baked breads and pastries; ready-to-eat soups, snacks, and beverages; maple syrup; hand-carved bowls and utensils; artwork and crafts.

The Saranac Lake market is located at Riverside Park, at the corner of Route 3 and Main Street, and is held every Saturday at 9 am to 2 pm from June 1-October 12, 2019.

The Lake Placid market is located in Jewtraw Park on Station Street by Liquids and Solids and Lisa G’s restaurants. The market will be held every Wednesday at from 2 to 6 pm, from June 12-October 9, 2019.

Both SL and LP Farmers’ Markets accept SNAP benefits as well as the NY’s Fresh Connect Program, which offers a $2 incentive coupon for every $5 of SNAP benefit used at the market. The aim of the program is increase the purchasing power of SNAP benefits by up to 40% while also supporting local farms.

Both markets will feature live performances throughout the summer including musical acts John Doan, Scott Sileo, Rustic Ryders, Useless Cans, Nick Saulpaugh, Alan Simon, Lynn Waikman, Gray Blues Band, The North Valley Tune Tanglers, J. Schnitt, and Duane Keith Gould.

New vendors this year include Adirondack Noodle Company, Kate Mountain Farm’s Hot Dog Stand, Healthy Gourmet Kitchen, Georgeanne Gaffney Paintings, and Craigardan Pottery.

The AuSable Valley Grange Farmers’ Markets is a producer-only market, the vendors can sell only items that they or their employees produce.
