North Country REDC To Discuss Regional Economic Identity

NCREDCThe North Country Regional Economic Development Council (NCREDC) is set to hold a meeting Wednesday, June 26, at the Conference Center at Lake Placid Lussi Ballroom, 2nd Floor 2608 Main Street, Lake Placid, at 10 am.

There will be a presentation and discussion on creating a consistent economic identity for New York’s North Country, which includes seven upstate New York counties. The goal is to use this cohesive message to position the region in the economic marketplace to attract new business and residents.

The North Country Regional Economic Development Council (NCREDC) represents Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Hamilton, Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence counties.

The meeting will focus on creating the North County Competitive Identity to attract and retain entrepreneurs and build on growth in aerospace, energy, biotech, defense and the manufacturing industries in the region.

The NCREDC and staff from the State Agency Resource Team will also hold a consolidated funding application workshop for potential applicants to learn more about this round of REDC funding.
