This year’s Adirondack Woof Stock – A Weekend of Peace, Paws & Music, will be held June 8-9, in Chestertown, Warren County. Dog friendly events will be held at the Town Hall from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday and 10 am to 3 pm on Sunday.
Hudson Valley Dock Dogs and Doggie Fun Zone will return for the fifth year with dock diving, agility tests and lure chasing. There will also be pet adoptions from Adirondack Save A Stray and the North Shore Animal League. A “Blessing of the Animals,” a grooming station, along with vendors, food, and music will be available all day, both days.
New events for this year include micro chipping, a reunion for the adopted dogs from previous Woof Stocks, a fenced area for dogs to run and play, a kissing booth with your dog, a dog wash run by the North Warren Central freshman class, and the local Scout troop will be making tie dyes. Admission is $1 per day.
On Saturday night Woof Stock moves to The Hub, on the Mill Pond in Brant Lake for live music, a light show, vendors, food, and boat rides on the pond.
Event coordinators are still looking for volunteers to sell T-shirts and operate the entrance booth. Open shifts are Saturday from 1 to 3 pm and 3 to 5 pm, and Sunday 9 to 11 am, 11 am to 1 pm and 3 to 4 pm.
