The Sembrich in Bolton Landing is set to its “World Music Wednesday Series” with The Fretless Ensemble on Wednesday, July 10 at 1:30 pm.
This is the first of three world music events in The Sembrich’s 2019 Summer Series which focuses on musical compositions and styles from across the globe.
With innovative arrangements and roots deeply based in Celtic and Canadian fiddle styles, The Fretless is on a unique path in the music world. In the musicians’ new album Live from The Artfarm, The Fretless presents its most representative and unique sounds.
Tickets are $25 and include an opportunity to meet the artists at a lakeside reception following the performance.
Opened to the public in 1937, The Sembrich honors international opera singer Marcella Sembrich at her teaching studio and woodland retreat on Lake George. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the beautifully preserved studio is now an intimate performance venue and museum containing exhibits from America’s “Gilded Age” and the “Golden Age of Opera.”
