Warren Co Historical Society Opening New Museum Space

Warren County Historical SocietyThe Warren County Historical Society is officially opening its new museum space with the exhibit “Warren County 360: Celebrating Place and People,” at its headquarters located at 50 Gurney Lane, Queensbury.

The exhibit, a product of two years of research and design, depicts the evolution of Warren County through the lens of cultural geography, showing how the natural resources of the region led to the development of its economy and society.

A ribbon-cutting hosted by the Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce and debut reception will be held on Thursday, September 12 from 5 to 8 pm.

An exhibit of Warren County postal history from 1813 to 1920, curated by Trustee Stephen Matte of Queensbury, will be on display in an adjoining gallery.

The Warren County Historical Society is open to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 am to 4 pm, Fridays 10 am to 4 pm, and Saturdays 11 am to 2 pm. More information is available by calling (518) 743–0734, or online.
