The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Warren County has announced an Outdoor Education Day, set for Sunday, September 15th from 1 to 3 pm at 377 Schroon River Road in Warrensburg.
The program, run by educators and volunteers, will teach attendees how to use a map and compass, fire starting skills, outdoor cooking tips, and information on turkey hunting.
Map and Compass, Fire Starting, and Turkey Hunting workshops will each run 45 minutes (starting at 1 pm, and running successively), with the Outdoor Cooking demonstration running the duration of the event. P
re-registration is strongly encouraged, and there is no cost associated with attending any of the workshops. This program is open to youth and adults of all ages.
