10th Annual Garlic Festival Set For Warrensburg

Garlic Festival at the Warrensburgh Riverfront Farmers' MarketTenth Annual Garlic Festival at the Warrensburgh Riverfront Farmers’ Market is set for Friday, October 11th, from 3 to 6 pm.

Certified organic and naturally grown garlic will be sampled and sold for planting and consumption. Horticultural information and recipes will be provided at the CCE of Warren County Master Gardener Station.

Other activities include: Garlicky Food Contest and Samplings; Children’s Activities by Casey Beal with Stony Creek Free Library’s ARTirondacks; Adirondack Gold Maple Farm, ADK Grown, Ryan’s Country Farm, Nettle Meadow Cheese Farm and Mama G’s Gluten Free Goodies and more; Tastings with Glens Falls Distillery and Saratoga Apple; Hope Valley Farm will demonstrate garlic tying and offer their signature pickled garlic scapes and garlic pesto; demonstrations by Bear Pond Woodworking, Best Solutions Jewelry and Author Pat Leonard; Live Music with George Parrott; Free Coffee in the Gazebo and a chance to win $20 in Farmers’ Market Bucks.

    How can a 3 hour time period on a Friday from 3pm-6pm be considered a “festival”? I’ve lived here most of my life and I clicked to read the article because I couldn’t figure out how I’d missed this for the last decade. Who on earth could attend? People who don’t work and who don’t have kids? Ridiculous.
