On September 21, 1984, two farmers cutting their cornfield near the intersection of State Route 9 and Stafford Road in the town of Beekmantown located a body which were identified as the remains of Dawn Svocak.

An autopsy revealed Svocak’s death was the result of blunt force trauma. The case was ruled a homicide.

At the time of her death, Svocak was a 20-year-old white female, 5’01, 120 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.

State Police ask that anyone with information on the case contact the Troop B Major Crimes Unit at (518) 897-2000.
