The 2019 Salmon Festival has been set for Saturday, October 5th, at multiple locations in Richmond, Vermont. Family friendly, salmon based events will take place throughout the community from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Scheduled events include: juvenile salmon stocking, a guided two-mile paddle on the Winooski River (advance registration requested), fly casting lessons, US Postal Service International Year of the Salmon Stamp Cancellation, exhibit booths, Salmon films, and presentations about local salmon populations.
Event partners include U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Lake Champlain Basin Program, Trout Unlimited, Winooski Natural Resources Conservation District, Lake Champlain Maritime Museum, Friends of the Winooski, and L.L. Bean.
The festival is part of series of activities around the Lake Champlain watershed focused on the International Year of the Salmon. For more information, email email@example.com.
