Reservations Open for Eighth Lake Campground

Reservations have re-opened for the May 15th start of the camping season at DEC’s Adirondack Park Eighth Lake Campground, Inlet, Hamilton County.

Earlier this year, DEC posted alerts in the camping reservation system to notify campers that the facility would open later in 2020, to accommodate planned improvements. DEC can now accommodate reservations for the first half of the season at Eighth Lake campground.

The campsites offer privacy and are large and well forested. Camping equipment from tents to 40′ RVs can be accommodated. Eighth Lake Campground offers a variety of recreational opportunities including canoeing and boating, fishing, hiking, and bicycling.

I wonder if you can help me? I am originally from NY. Yearssssss ago (over40), my husband and I rented a very small cabin across from 8th Lake. The hunters few in on their water planes I recall and went to the mountain area across from the cabin we stayed at. I am trying to find these cabins, but no luck. The name (spelling?) was Jeandreaux Cottages…. do you happen to know of these? Please let me know. It’s so beautiful there.
