Raquette Lake Winter Carnival Next Weekend

Ice Golf at 2019 Raquette Lake Winter CarnivalThe Raquette Lake Winter Carnival is set for Saturday, February 15th, and Sunday, February 16th. It looks as though there will be plenty of snow on the ground and the snowmobiles trails are open.

Activities will begin at 11 am on Saturday with games, including a sack race, sledding, tire obstacle, balloon chase, and tug-of-war. A Ladies Frying Pan Toss will be held at noon, with cash prizes of $75, $50, $25. The Team Ice Golf Competition will be held throughout the day for teams with cash prizes of $75, $50, $25.

At noon representatives from The Chazen Companies will be at the Raquette Lake library handing out community surveys, gathering input and answering questions about the comprehensive planning process happening in Raquette Lake and Long Lake.

At 2 pm Magicians Chris and Pete of Chris and Pete Amusements will perform a free show in the Raquette Lake Library.

Fireworks are slated for 7 pm, but will be weather dependent. Schedule updates will be available online.

The Raquette Lake Fish and Game Club and Ladies Auxiliary will be serving Hot Dogs and chili on Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 3 pm at Raquette Lake Supply.

Sunday will kick off with the the Raquette Lake Ladies Auxiliary $10 all you can eat Pancake Breakfast at the Raquette Lake Fire Hall from 9 to 11:30 am.

At Noon the Cross-Cut / Chainsaw competition will be held on the Raquette Lake Village Green.

The Raquette Lake Library will be open for hot chocolate, cookies and warmth from 11 am until 3 pm on Saturday and from Noon until 2 pm on Sunday.
