Singing for Suffrage Event in North Creek Sunday

singing for suffrageSinging for Suffrage, a theatrical folk music program, has been set for Sunday, March 1st, at the Tannery Pond Center in North Creek.

Produced and performed by Peggy Lynn and Dan Duggan, Singing for Suffrage tells the story of women’s suffrage through song – from the first Women’s Rights Convention in Seneca Falls in 1848 to the ratification of the 19th amendment to the US Constitution in 1920.

A reception will follow the concert to further honor the centennial of women’s suffrage and the ratification of the 19th Amendment. Representatives from the Johnsburg Historical Society, Warren County Historical Society, League of Women Voters of Saratoga County and the Warren County Board of Elections will have displays and share about their respective missions.

This event will begin at 3 pm. Tickets are available for $15 in advance, $20 at the door, and free for children. Tickets can be purchased online, or by calling (518) 251-2505 x128.
