Elk Lake Lodge (North Hudson) — closed for 2020 season
Great Camp Sagamore (Raquette Lake) — closed for 2020 season
Adirondack Carousel (Saranac Lake) — closed until further notice
Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts (Blue Mountain Lake) — online offerings only through the summer season
Adirondack Experience museum (Blue Mountain Lake) — offering digital programming only for this summer season
Adirondack History Museum (Elizabethtown) — closed until further notice
The Clinton County Historical Association Museum (Plattsburgh) will remain closed to the public indefinitely. In addition, the opening of the Bluff Point Lighthouse is also on hold.
Enchanted Forest Water Safari (Old Forge) — closed for the 2020 season
Fulton County Historical Society & Museum (Gloversville) — closed for the 2020 season
Island Chapel (Upper Saranac Lake) — closed for 2020
Lake Luzerne Music Center (Lake Luzerne) — summer camp and concert season are cancelled
Meadowmount School of Music (Westport) — closed for the summer
Olympic Regional Development Authority — attractions include the Olympic Center, Whiteface Mountain, the Olympic Jumping Complex and the Olympic Sports Complex at Mount Van Hoevenberg — remain closed.
Raquette Lake Navigation (Raquette Lake) — closed for the 2020 season
Schroon North Hudson Historical Museum — closed for the summer
Seagle Music Colony (Schroon Lake) — canceled summer season
The Sembrich (Bolton Landing) — summer music festival cancelled; museum currently closed
Six Flags Great Escape Resort (Lake George) — Theme park and lodge are temporarily closed
Speculator Craft Fair (Speculator) — Hamilton County Twigs will not hold its annual August craft fair this year.
Adirondack Food and Wine Festival — 2020 event canceled; 2021 dates set for June 26-27.
Adirondack Nationals Car Show (Lake George) — Originally set for Sept, canceled for 2020.
Adirondack Balloon Festival (Queensbury) — Canceled in 2020
Adirondack Railroad (Utica to Old Forge) — cancels Polar Express holiday-themed train rides for 2020.
90 Miler Canoe Race, aka the Adirondack Canoe Classic (Old Forge to Saranac Lake) — Canceled in 2020.
Adirondack Folk Music Festival (Schroon Lake) — Canceled, along with summer concert series in Schroon Lake.
The next festival is scheduled for Aug. 15, 2021.
Depot Theatre (Westport) — 2020 season canceled/postponed until 2021; alternative programming planned.
Clinton County Fair (Morrisonville) — canceled for 2020
Essex County Fair (Westport) — canceled for 2020
First Night Saranac Lake — 2020 event canceled
Franklin County Fair (Malone) – canceled for 2020
Elvis Festival (Lake George) — canceled
Fishing tournaments (Massena) — The Town of Massena and Fishing League Worldwide are canceling two major FLW tournaments that were to have been held in Massena this summer. The Toyota Series 2020 Tournament (July 9 to 13) and Pro Circuit Championship (Aug. 24 to 29) are both canceled.
Ironman (Lake Placid) — Both the full triathlon and half triathlon canceled for 2020. Next full tri takes place July 25, 2021; half tri canceled for 2021 as well.
Otis Mountain Get Down (Elizabethtown) — Annual music festival canceled
Lake George Music Festival (Lake George) — Season postponed to 2021; virtual events planned
Lake Placid Sinfonietta (Lake Placid) — Summer season canceled
Lake Placid Horse Shows (Lake Placid) — canceled their events/summer season
Adirondack Theatre Festival (Glens Falls) — Summer program/events canceled
Saranac Lake weekly concerts on the green — canceled
Ausable Two-Fly Challenge (Wilmington) – rescheduled for September 17-19, 2020
Black Fly Challenge (Inlet/Indian Lake) – postponed until June 12, 2021
Hoss’s Country Corner (Long Lake) — canceled this year’s Authors Night
Summer Naturalist Programs at Heart Lake (Lake Placid) – canceled for 2020
Ticonderoga Triathlon Festival (Ticonderoga) – Postponed until June 19, 2021.
Tupper Arts Summer Sunset music series (Tupper Lake) — canceled/postponed until 2021, along with Little Loggers kids shows.
Tupper Lake Tinman (Tupper Lake) – Will be held as a virtual event open from June 27 to July 27.
Tupper Lake Warrior Run (Tupper Lake) – postponed until Fall 2020
Wilmington Uphill Bike Race (Wilmington) – postponed until 2021
Wilmington-Whiteface 100K (Wilmington) – postponed until fall 2020

Rattlesnake Mountain (Willsboro)
Whiteface Mountain Ski Area is closed to public access. This blocks public access to Bear Den Mountain Trailhead and Trail.
The shuttle in the town of Keene between the Marcy Field Parking Lot and the Garden Trailhead remains closed.
Youth summer camps are closed to overnight stays. Day camps are still permitted.
Akwesasne Mohawk Casino (Hogansburg): Opening Aug. 31 (updated from original Aug. 3 date)
Lake Flower boat launch (Saranac Lake) Reopened after construction. To prevent the community spread of COVID-19, the bathroom is temporarily closed.
Hyde Collection (Glens Falls) — Reopened Aug. 1
Tucker Farm (Gabriels) — Annual corn maze opens Aug 14
Saranac Lake Winter Carnival to go forward with planning 2021 event
Gore Mountain (Northville): Open for disc golf, biking, hiking and gondola rides
Silver Lake Bog Trail (Clinton County) — Reopened
Historic Saranac Lake — Saranac Laboratory Museum open Thursdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
DEC fire towers: open
Otter Creek Horse Trails: Campground reopened (Lewis County)
Ausable Chasm (Port Kent) — While adventurous activities, like tubing and rock climbing, aren’t yet available, the park’s five miles of scenic trails have been opened for hiking and exploring since June 15.
The Almanzo Wilder Homestead in Burke, NY is now open for private tours by appointment Thursday through Monday. The Visitor Center is open to the public.
ORDA-run Olympics properties reopen: A new zipline at the Olympic Jumping Complex opened on July 17. The new gondola at the complex is also now open.
Mountain biking on the cross-country trails of Mt. Van Hoevenberg is now available.
The Veterans Memorial Highway at Whiteface is open.
The Wild Center — Reopened July 15
Saranac Lake Chamber’s Welcome Center — opened July 2
Lake George Steamboat Co. (Lake George) — Opened on June 13
Hotel Saranac (Saranac Lake) — Reopened June 15
The Hedges (Blue Mountain Lake) — Opened June 17
TAUNY Center and Folk Store (Canton) — Reopened on June 8.
Adirondack Artists Guild (Saranac Lake) — Begins gradual reopening on June 19. For the remainder of June, the Gallery will be open Fridays and Saturdays, from 11 – 3 pm, which could expand in July.
View Arts Center (Old Forge) has a target reopening to the public on June 29.
Fort Ticonderoga (Ticonderoga) — Opening for the season on June 30
Adirondack Animal Land (Gloversville) — Opening July 1 as a drive-through attraction
Adirondack Folk School (Lake Luzerne) is open and classes have resumed.
Tupper Arts Center (Tupper Lake) has a target reopening of July 15.
Fishing tournaments: The 2020 SiteOne Bassmaster Elite tournament on the St. Lawrence is slated to take place July 23-26. The following week, from July 30-Aug. 2, Bassmaster Elite tournament takes place on Lake Champlain.
NYS Campgrounds: New York State Park campsites, cabins and cottages are currently open. Click here to make a reservation for all available sites – including tents, trailers, RVs, cabins, yurts and cottages. Reservations are expected to fill quickly. No walk-up camping stays will be accepted. DEC campgrounds: DEC-managed campgrounds in the Adirondacks and Catskills are now open as well.
Whiteface Club and Resort (Lake Placid) is in the process of reopening.
The Lake Champlain Ferry between Essex, NY and Charlotte, VT is scheduled to reopen on May 1.
Spirit Airlines to resume service to/from Plattsburgh airport starting May 2
NYS-run beaches opened Friday, May 22.
Adirondack Mountain Club’s High Peaks Information Center reopened May 22. Parking at Adirondak Loj Trailhead remains open to the public for a fee, but vehicles should be more than six feet apart. The restrooms on the back porch of the High Peaks Information Center are also open.
