Pitch session brings opportunity to entrepreneurs TelosAir, MTRX

Point Positive, Inc. held an additional fall pitch session on Wednesday, November 18, with two vetted teams of entrepreneurs, TelosAir and MTRX.  Point Positive Coordinator Melinda Little hosted the virtual event via Zoom from Saranac Lake, just three weeks after their annual fall pitch event with KLAW Industries and Just a Moment Music.

About the companies:

  • TelosAir (formerly Potsdam Sensors) helps clients monitor, analyze, and improve their indoor air quality.  Using state-of-the-art, easy-to-install sensors that operate on a mesh network, clients can seamlessly integrate their units with building automation systems for optimal HVAC operation.  Their cloud-based AI/ML analytics will guide remediation efforts to minimize spread of airborne infections while conserving energy.

The Zoom meeting was held with 9 of the 18 member investors participating. Each pitch is followed by a brief “closed-door” investor discussion after the presentation. Post-meeting, the member investors complete a pitch evaluation sheet. If the evaluations are favorable, Point Positive subsequently conducts an in-depth due diligence review. If favorable, a deal is structured, and all of the Point Positive members/investors will have the chance to participate individually in the deal.

“We are seeing a growing number of entrepreneurs looking to grow their business here in the Greater Adirondack region,” states Melinda Little, Point Positive Coordinator.  “This momentum and our ability to effectively host virtual events have enabled more entrepreneurs to get in front of member investors who are also looking to utilize their experience, expertise, and financial resources to get behind these businesses to build the economy.”
