Poetry:  And So A New Story Begins…

And So A New Story Begins…
..And now it starts. Still,
Yet, it turns toward better days,
Both past and to come.
Victory is clear.
It beckons our good people,
To remember love,
Remember honor,
Remember hope, remember,
Who they really are.
Hearts lighten today,
And faces upturn once more.
We stand together.
All feels right again,
A reckoning of the soul.
Now freedom sings out,
Still, freedom sings out,
And, a new story begins.

Thank you. Indeed, there is an ongoing, daily promise in “Behold, I make all things new.” So many of us feel great relief and optimism with our new President.

  2. Karen Rudar says:

Such hopeful words. Well done Annette.

  3. Shane M Sloan says:

Cool. Because if there is anything the Adirondack parks needs right now, it’s higher taxes coupled with imported labor. Joe Biden is not the reckoning you think he is, and shame on you for this. Now, let the angry comments commence and prove just how accepting we are of a diversity of thought. Trump was not a nice guy, but he should not have been what a certain ideological group made him.

  4. Jim says:

Poetry of promise and hope. Thank you, Annette.

    Beautiful.
