Poem: Every Day

Every Day

On every day that we breathe,

We give thanks.

On every day,

Free from suffering, want, despair,

Free from fear,

Free,

We give thanks.

Every day we have lived through,

Loved, learned, struggled through,

Has made us what we are.

For what we are, and what we can be,

With the help of grace, mercy, compassion,

With grateful humility, every day,

We give thanks.

Another beautiful and truthful poem from my sister Annette. God saves some people and washes away others. Unfortunately there is nothing that can help her Brother since his life has been torn me to shreds.
