Adirondack Regional Airport awarded $8.5 Million grant for modernization of passenger terminal

Lake Clear, NY – On behalf of the Franklin County Economic Development Corporation (FCEDC), CEO Jeremy Evans congratulates the Town of Harrietstown and the Adirondack Regional Airport for their Upstate Airport Economic Development and Revitalization Competition award totaling $8.5 million.

The project will revitalize the terminal building and make other physical improvements to the Airport.

“We commend the hard work of town staff and officials to submit a winning application, especially Airport Manager Corey Hurwitch and Town Council member Ashley Milne,” Evans said. “We also thank Governor Kathy Hochul and the NYS Department of Transportation for recognizing the need to modernize critical transportation infrastructure across the state and the North Country.”

Evans added that FCEDC was pleased to support the town’s funding application because of the airport’s significant regional economic impact. Adirondack Regional Airport hosts 6 businesses, supports dozens of jobs in the community, and generates over $10,000,000 in economic impact annually.
