Adirondack Woof Stock slated for June 3-4

Chestertown, NY – Canine lovers of all ages are encouraged to dig out their tie-dye garb and travel back to 1969 at the annual Adirondack Woof Stock event, “a weekend of peace, paws, and music” scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, June 3 and 4 in Chestertown, NY (20 minutes north of Lake George.) It’ll be the best day of your dog’s life!

Guests are welcome to let their canine companions try dock diving with Central K9 Dock Dogs or simply watch the competitions. Pups will also have an opportunity to run through a DogLoversDays Agility and Lure Chasing Course (which has been a huge hit with dogs of all ages & sizes,) and enjoy shows by the talented Dynamo Dogs. The event will feature live music, food, and a variety of vendors on both days.

Participants are invited to watch K-9 Police Demonstrations, sit in on the Blessing of the Animals with Father John, adopt a pet from North Shore Animal League or H.O.P.E., have their dog’s nails done, or shop with the vendors. Admission to the event is only $1, and kids under 12 and dogs will be admitted free of charge.

On Saturday night, all are encouraged to help event organizers continue to celebrate Woodstock at “Woodstock Revisited on the Mill Pond,” a pet-friendly outdoor concert from 6 to 11 p.m. in downtown Brant Lake at The Hub. The event will include free boat rides on Mill Pond by Loon Lake Marina, food, and an array of vendors (and don’t forget to wear your tie-dye.) There are also plenty of dog-friendly lodging and campgrounds in the area, so guests are able to make a weekend out of it, should they choose to do so.

As one Adirondack Woof Stock visitor once said, “If people got along as peacefully and non-judgmentally as all the dogs at Woof Stock, our world would be a much better place!”
