Argyle, NY — Rachel Vogel is a winner of an Honorable Mention at The BookFest Awards Spring 2023 for the book titled “Raccoons Go Rafting.” The book is honored in the Children’s Picture Book
category. The BookFest honors authors who create outstanding works of fiction and nonfiction. The BookFest’s dedication to honoring authors is rooted in a belief in the transformative power of literature and a desire to support and celebrate those who create it.

Rachel Vogel said, “Being selected as a winner of The BookFest Awards is an incredible honor. I am grateful to be recognized for the hard work, dedication, and passion that went into creating ‘Raccoons Go Rafting.’ I hope this award will inspire others to pursue their own literary passions.”

Desireé Duffy, Founder of The BookFest, said, “I am thrilled to announce Rachel Vogel as the winner of a Honorable Mention at The BookFest Awards. This year’s competition was particularly fierce, and Rachel should be very proud of this achievement.”

“Raccoons Go Rafting” was first available in print in June 2022. In light of this young “tail’s” recent recognition, this summer is going to be filled with festivities, attendance at multiple events, and a “Summer of Celebration” Book Tour. Spanning over a dozen cities, this celebration tour will include readings with signings, crafts, parties, and even ice cream…with sprinkles, of course!
