John Brown Lives! (JBL!), a freedom education and human rights project known across the North Country and beyond for its innovative educational programs and the warmth and camaraderie of its annual cultural and commemorative events such as John Brown Day, Blues at Timbuctoo, and Adirondack Family Book Festival is holding its first ever Silent Auction.
Leading up to JBL!’s Long Table Dinner at the John Brown Farm State Historic Site on Saturday, August 5th , the auction will go live on July 19, 2023 and the bidding will continue
through to the early evening of The Long Table Dinner. It will feature art, books, experiences and opportunities that were carefully curated to resonate with JBL!’s racial justice and human rights mission.

Auction items have been donated by artists, authors, and creatives who support JBL! including Nell Painter, Tom Morello, Amy Godine, David Blight, The Guerrilla Girls, and Janet Millstein, to name a few. Unique experiences include a house concert with the folk duo Magpie, two tickets to the Blues at Timbuctoo after-party, a plein air experience with Sandra Hildreth, and two all session passes to the Lake Placid Film Festival.

Successful bidders do not have to be present at the Long Table Event. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the programs of JohnBrownLives.org
