    Capt. Monroe,
I am relatively new to the N.Y. upstate but have visited the ADK for many years and started receiving the Adirondack Almanac within the last 6 months. I always look forward to your pieces, be they fiction, truth or a mix of both. You’ve fast become my favorite storyteller and I thank you for all the things you share with your readers; your family, your childhood, your path and adventures through life. But today I’m wishing you the best on this Veterans Day and thanking you for your service to our country.

    • Thank you, Dennis. Just got home from a very long, slow (but enjoyable) weekend hunting trip with my son & saw your comment. Made my day. In reality, isn’t everything in life a little of both.

This was an awesome read. Thank you for all you have done for our country.
