Long Lake and Raquette Lake Winter Wonderland Week

There is plenty to do in Long Lake and Raquette Lake from February 16  – 25  . Winter Wonderland Week offers a slate of events for all ages.

The Long Lake Geiger Ice Skating Rink and Mt. Sabattis Sledding Hill will be open daily from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily, no matter the conditions. Special programming on Sunday, February 25  includes a visit from the Long Lake Fire Department as part of the Adirondack Local Culture Program Community Day at the Geiger Arena and is open to everyone.

Restaurant Week starts February 16  – 25 . Visit the ADK Trading Post, Adirondack Hotel, Brookside Hops and Hoagies, Long Lake Diner, Long View Lodge and the Paradise Cove Cafe. There are free dining cards at all locations, get your card stamped and submit for a prize at the end of the week.

Raquette Lake Winter Carnival happens Saturday, February 17  – 18  with kids events starting at 10:30am on Saturday. Other events throughout the day include the Ladies Frying Pan Toss, Ice Golf, The Pete and Chris Magic Show at 2 p.m. in the Raquette Lake Library. The Raquette Lake Library will be open at 10 a.m. for warm up and restrooms.

On Sunday, February 18 the traditional Crosscut and Chainsaw competition starts at noon. Bring your own chainsaw.

All activities will be held around downtown Raquette Lake. Parking is limited, please do not block roadways.

The Pete and Chris Magic Show will
also happen at the Long Lake Town Hall, 1204 Main Street, Long Lake, NY on Saturday, February 17  at 6 p.m. and is free to attend.


The Long Lake Historical Society will be hosting an event “From Boats to Kazoos” open house weekend February 16  – 18  at the Long Lake Town Hall Nutrition Site, 1204 Main Street, Long Lake, NY with hours Friday, February 16 , 2 p.m. – 6 p.m., Saturday, February 17 , 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, February 18 , 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
